pan-european assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of stressors on the health of bees
Meeting the needs of practitioners: Four new PoshBee practice abstracts
To further support sustainable beekeeping practices, PoshBee has published four new practice abstracts on the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural productivity and Sustainability (EIP-AGRI) platform. These brief and direct pieces of research information aim to make project results more available to practitioners in order to foster sustainable farming.

The four new abstracts discuss:
-
beekeepers willingness to take up new bee health tools and what influences such willingness – Practice abstract 5;
-
the use of behavioural and reproductive performances as assessment endpoints of honey bees’ health – Practice abstract 6;
-
the effects of pollen nutrition on honey bee tolerance to pesticides – Practice abstract 7;
-
semi-field studies on how pairs of stressors (pesticide + pesticide; pesticide + nutritional deficit) impact honey bees, bumble bees and solitary bees – Practice abstract 8.
With these four new practice abstracts, PoshBee now has a total of eight abstracts available on the EIP-AGRI platform. The previous four abstracts focus on:
-
PoshBee’s goals – Practice abstract 1;
-
recommendations for groups planning to perform multi-partner, farm-scale, field studies on pollinating insects – Practice abstract 2;
-
the effect of real-world clothianidin exposure on bees across oilseed rape fields in southern Sweden – Practice abstract 3;
-
recommendations aiming to maximise the efficiency of the work invested in a project – Practice abstract 4.

PoshBee will continue to produce practice abstracts, so as to translate important scientific outcomes for the needs of practitioners.
