PoshBee fieldwork running at full speed
The PoshBee fieldwork has started in the UK, Ireland, Spain and Italy! Reseach teams, together will beekeepers and agricultural partners sample honey bees, bumble bees and solitary bees to quantify the field-realistic exposure hazards for bees in terms of chemicals, nutrition and pathogens.
The research team participating in the fieldwork has the overall goal to establish and implement a site network across eight countries incorporating Europe’s main biogeographic zones and range of honeybee subspecies.
Sweden, Germany, Estonia and Switzerland are up next in the upcoming weeks!
Amazing day out in the field with lots of hives and fields of beautifully scented oil seed rape. Been very busy with the hives but a very productive day @thebeecentre @JaneCStout @poshbee_eu pic.twitter.com/lP66YPmci1— Amy Elisabeth Turner (@Amyelisajem) April 10, 2019
