During the workshop live colonies were available to demonstrate the skills required to take the necessary samples toward achieving the desired outcomes. The amount of bees, sentinel hive set-up, criteria for landscape, protocols for site selection, and landscapes for apples and oilseed rape locations were discussed. Storage labeling and criteria for samples were explained, complemented by additional demonstrations at the beehives.
